Szépkilátó is one of the most famous natural viewpoints on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, located near Balatongyörök along the main road 71.

Balatonfüred Modern Art Center (MOMŰ – Modern Műtár) is a contemporary exhibition space located in the historic Reform Era district of Balatonfüred. 

Opened in 2023 as part of the Veszprém–Balaton European Capital of Culture program, it has quickly become one of the region’s key cultural attractions. The gallery is based on the renowned Szöllősi-Nagy – Nemes Collection, featuring an extensive selection of fine art and photography. The collection focuses on modern and contemporary art, with a strong emphasis on international and Hungarian geometric and abstract works. After more than 30 years in Paris, the collection has returned to Hungary and found its permanent home in Balatonfüred. Housed in two restored 19th-century villa buildings connected by a modern architectural structure, the gallery combines historical elegance with contemporary design. In addition to exhibition spaces, the venue also includes community areas and cultural programs, creating a dynamic meeting point for art lovers. 

With its internationally significant collection and high-quality exhibitions, the Modern Art Center offers visitors a unique insight into geometric and conceptual art, making it a must-visit cultural stop in Balatonfüred.

Balatonfüred Congress Center is a modern, multifunctional event venue located in the heart of Balatonfüred, just a short walk from the shores of Lake Balaton. 

Opened in 2023, it has quickly become a key hub for conferences, cultural events, and business gatherings in the region. The center offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and flexible event spaces designed to accommodate a wide range of functions, including congresses, exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and gala dinners. Szántódpuszta Manor is a unique historical and cultural attraction located near Lake Balaton, between Balatonföldvár and Zamárdi, opposite the beautiful Tihany Peninsula. Known as a “living manor,” it offers visitors the opportunity to step back in time and discover what everyday life was like on a traditional Hungarian estate 150–200 years ago.

Around thirteen historic buildings and structures have been restored to preserve the architectural and cultural heritage of the estate. Through interactive exhibitions and authentic surroundings, visitors can explore the traditions of 19th-century rural life, agriculture and craftsmanship. The exhibitions present the history of Szántódpuszta and its connection with the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany, while also providing an insight into the lives of the people who once lived and worked on the estate.

Among the highlights of the manor are the historic Small Castle, the Granary, featuring the interactive “Wheat’s Way” exhibition, traditional stables and workshops that introduce visitors to historic crafts and agricultural traditions. Guests can also learn about activities such as bread-making and blacksmithing, making the visit an engaging and educational experience.

Szántódpuszta Manor offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. Families can enjoy the themed playground, the petting zoo and the barefoot Kneipp trail, while horse riding and outdoor activities are available for those looking for a more active experience. The estate also hosts cultural events, festivals, themed programmes and educational activities for school groups.

Lelkem is a small, intimate restaurant located in the quiet village of Dörgicse on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. 

Set on the main street, it welcomes guests in a large garden shaded by walnut trees, creating a relaxed, homely atmosphere. The restaurant operates with a limited number of tables and works by reservation only, ensuring a calm and personal dining experience without crowds or rush. Its menu is short but carefully curated, focusing on seasonal dishes prepared from high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy thoughtfully composed plates accompanied by regional wines and homemade-style juices and syrups. With its unique, family-like atmosphere and emphasis on quality over quantity, Lelkem offers a truly special gastronomic experience for those seeking something authentic and personal in the Balaton region.

The Eau de Tihany – House of Scents offers visitors a unique and immersive “fragrant journey through time” in the heart of Tihany. This free, interactive exhibition is housed in a beautiful historic building and presents the rich heritage of Tihany’s lavender culture. 

Through three exhibition rooms, visitors can explore the history of Tihany lavender and the life of Dr. Gyula Bittera, the pioneer of lavender cultivation in Hungary and a key figure in the development of the country’s essential oil industry. The experience also offers insight into the world of fragrances and traditional perfumery, including how scented products such as soaps, bath bombs, and home fragrances are made. Guests can observe parts of the production process in the on-site “open manufactory,” then try and purchase these handcrafted products in the shop. Blending museum, workshop, and boutique, the House of Scents is not only an exhibition space but also a sensory experience that brings together history, craftsmanship, and the distinctive atmosphere of Tihany’s lavender tradition.

The Kigondoltavolna Café is a bicycle-friendly café, breakfast spot, and service point located in Lulla, nestled among the Somogy hills, away from the noise of the world. 

It serves as a perfect place to relax, recharge, and take a break—even with your dog.

From the mid-18th century, the history of Keszthely became closely intertwined with that of the Festetics family. Count Kristóf I Festetics laid the foundations of the palace, which continued to evolve until the 20th century. It served as a true home, preserving treasures that can still be seen today, such as Hungary’s only fully intact aristocratic library, the Helikon Library, the palm house with exotic plants, and the carriage exhibition. The park is a protected natural area. Within the palace grounds, visitors can find the palm house and the former carriage house, which now hosts the carriage exhibition. Opposite the rear exit of the park stands a newer building housing both a hunting exhibition and a historical model railway exhibition. Near the palace, on Kastély Street, visitors can also find the Amazon House Visitor Centre.

The Dörgicse Farmers’ Market is a charming local market located in one of the most picturesque villages of the Balaton Uplands. Set in the heart of Dörgicse, it brings together local producers and visitors in a friendly, community-driven atmosphere. The market operates with a simple philosophy: “from us to you” – offering fresh, high-quality, locally produced goods directly from farmers and artisans. Visitors can discover seasonal fruits and vegetables, homemade delicacies, and regional specialties while connecting with the people behind the products. 

More than just a place to shop, the market provides an authentic glimpse into rural Balaton life, making it an ideal stop for those seeking genuine local flavors and a relaxed, welcoming environment.

In the centre of Badacsony, near the lakeshore and the pier, stands the former villa of the painter József Egry, which once served both as his home and studio. Known as the “painter of Lake Balaton,” Egry was deeply devoted to the lake and captured its endless water surface, misty lights, and views towards Fonyód from countless perspectives and at almost every time of day. His style, vision, and art are truly unique. 

Since 1973, the building has operated as a memorial museum, where visitors can see a rich selection of his major works and learn about his life. The exhibition can be visited with an admission ticket during the summer season, typically from June to September, usually from Tuesday to Saturday between 10:00 and 17:00.

The Human Comedy sculpture group is one of the most unique man-made attractions of the Theodora Nature Trail, located near Kővágóörs on the shores of Lake Kornyi in the Káli Basin. Created by Hungarian sculptor Imre Veszprémi in 1986, the installation consists of four monumental figures made of limestone and steel. 

Standing on a small hill, the 2–3.6 metre-high sculptures resemble mysterious, almost post-apocalyptic guardians observing the surrounding landscape. Their circular placement and monumental appearance have often led visitors to compare them to a “Káli Basin Stonehenge.” The artwork is rich in symbolism: each figure can be interpreted as representing different aspects of human existence, emotions, or relationships, while together they form a powerful reflection on the complexity of human life. Set in the picturesque natural environment of the Káli Basin, the sculpture group offers not only a striking visual experience but also a unique blend of art and landscape, making it a memorable stop for hikers and visitors exploring the region.

Our winery was founded in 1995 by Lajos Feind, when he purchased 14 hectares of vineyards on the shores of Lake Balaton. This marked the beginning of our viticulture, which later developed into a full-scale winery. 

Over the course of 20 years, our vineyard area expanded to 130 hectares. The majority of our vineyards are located on Öreg-hegy in Balatonfőkajár, but we also have parcels in Balatonvilágos, Balatonaliga, and Balatonfüred. All of our vineyards belong to the Balatonfüred–Csopak wine region.
