St. George Hill Matinée 2026

Just before the grape harvest, the hill has a very special atmosphere. Ripe grapes, harvest crates and tractors among the vineyards signal the beginning of a new season, while 16+1 locations welcome visitors across the hill.

From 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, wander from cellar to cellar at your own pace, meet local winemakers, taste the distinctive wines of St. George Hill and discover local flavours along the way. Stop for a picnic among the vineyards, enjoy live and acoustic music, or simply find a terrace, slow down and take in the views across the Balaton Uplands.

The Matinée is not just about wine – it is about experiencing the hill itself. Come with friends, as a couple or with the family and spend a September day walking, tasting, discovering and enjoying the unique atmosphere of early autumn at Lake Balaton.
