Badacsony Wine Week

2026 marks a new chapter for Badacsony Wine Week, as the festival moves to a spectacular new lakeside location on the shores of Lake Balaton. For ten days, the region’s outstanding wineries come together to showcase the very best of Badacsony’s world-famous wines in a truly unforgettable setting.

One of the festival’s highlights is Kéknyelű, a rare indigenous grape variety regarded as one of Hungary’s national treasures. Grown almost exclusively on the volcanic slopes of Badacsony, it produces elegant wines that perfectly reflect the unique character of this exceptional wine region.

Around the marina, the festival creates a vibrant meeting place where visitors can meet local winemakers, discover authentic regional flavours and experience the distinctive atmosphere that makes Badacsony one of the most celebrated wine destinations around Lake Balaton.
