Kinga Kamrája - Káptalantóti
Set on the Kővári Goat Farm near Káptalantóti, Kinga Kamrája is a small farm shop filled with flavours from the Balaton Uplands. The farm produces its own goat cheeses as well as smoked and cured mangalica products, including sausages, ham and bacon.
The shop also brings together artisan products from other local producers, from preserves, sauces and pasta to spices, oils and seasonal produce. Stop by to discover the flavours of a working farm and fill your basket with locally made specialities to take home. Find out more
Vászoly Cheese Manufactory - Vászoly
In the small village of Vászoly, this artisan cheese manufactory turns cow’s milk into a distinctive range of handcrafted cheeses inspired by the flavours of the Balaton Uplands. Its selection includes fresh, soft and aged cheeses, among them the Balaton cheese, which is matured for at least three months.
Visitors can stop by the manufactory on Saturdays to buy cheeses directly from the producers. It is a rewarding detour for anyone who wants to take home an authentic taste of the Balaton Uplands. Find out more
Tekeresvölgyi Family Estate - Nemesvámos
At this family-run farm in Nemesvámos, milk from Hungarian Simmental cows is turned into a wide range of artisan dairy products, with aged semi-hard and soft cheeses at the heart of the selection. The family has been producing dairy products here since 2008, alongside butter, cottage cheese, yoghurt and other homemade specialities.
The estate is more than a place to shop: organised cheese tastings and personalised group visits offer a closer look at life on a working family farm and the craft behind its products. You can also find Tekeresvölgyi cheeses at regular farmers’ markets around Lake Balaton. Find out more
Lavender Farm - Kékkút
In the tiny village of Kékkút, Levendula Porta is a family-run lavender farm where home-grown lavender, homemade food and dairy products come together. The family makes a changing selection of artisan products, from lavender syrup and jelly to yoghurt, cheese and other seasonal specialities.
Visitors can get closer to the flavours of the farm through hands-on programmes, including cheesemaking and lavender-themed culinary workshops. KakasBonbon – Artisan Chocolate, Felsőpáhok
Just a few kilometres from Hévíz and Lake Balaton, KakasBonbon creates handcrafted chocolates and bonbons in its workshop in Felsőpáhok. The chocolates follow the seasons, combining carefully selected cocoa with fruit, spices and other flavours, with locally sourced ingredients playing an important role in the fillings.
Visitors can stop by the shop, terrace and tasting cellar, or discover how chocolate and Hungarian wine complement each other through the signature Wine & Bonbon tastings. Helka Brewery & Pub – Balatonföldvár
In Balatonföldvár, Helka Brewery brings independent craft beer and the flavours of Lake Balaton together under one roof. Since 2024, the brewery and its year-round pub have been based in a former railway building, where visitors can taste Helka’s full range of beers fresh from the tap alongside a selection of products from the Balaton region.

Hedon Brewery & Taproom – Balatonvilágos
Craft beer comes with a Lake Balaton view at Hedon’s brewery in Balatonvilágos. Brewing here since 2015, Hedon produces a colourful range of small-batch beers, including its Balatonvilágosi Pilsner alongside IPAs, wheat beers and other distinctive styles.
The brewery is also home to a seasonal taproom and community space overlooking Lake Balaton. For a closer look behind the scenes, pre-arranged brewery tours introduce visitors to the brewing process and include a tasting of Hedon beers.
