The Nádasdy Castle is one of Hungary’s most remarkable historic residences, set in the peaceful village of Nádasdladány, not far from Lake Balaton.
Built in the 19th century in a distinctive Neo-Gothic, Tudor-inspired style, the castle reflects the ambition and cultural vision of the Nádasdy family. Its richly detailed façade, towers, and romantic architectural elements create a striking, almost storybook-like appearance. Surrounding the building is an expansive landscaped park of approximately 24 hectares, designed in the English landscape garden tradition. The grounds feature a picturesque lake, mature trees, and carefully composed natural scenery, offering a calm and atmospheric setting. Following extensive restoration, both the castle interiors and the park have been reopened to visitors, showcasing historical exhibitions alongside the original decorative character of the estate.
Today, the castle functions as a versatile cultural and event venue. In addition to its museum and exhibition spaces, it regularly hosts concerts, literary programs, weddings, and corporate events.
