Mónisüti in Gyenesdiás quickly gained recognition even before opening, as its desserts were already served in several high-quality Balaton restaurants.
Today, it has become a popular destination for dessert lovers, known not only for its rich, creamy pastries but also for its stylish and cosy interior, complemented by a recently renovated terrace. The selection focuses on fresh, homemade-style desserts, including cakes, cream pastries, pies, and small sweets, alongside specialties like macarons, rugelach, and the increasingly popular sourdough babka. While the bakery itself is not fully gluten-free, its paleo desserts are free from flour, sugar, and dairy.
To accompany the desserts, guests can choose from a range of coffee specialties, homemade syrups, teas, soft drinks, and craft beers. In 2025, Mónisüti’s “Granola Optimist” won the Lake Balaton Beach Dessert of the Year award—a playful sailing-inspired creation featuring a cream puff “boat” filled with honey-yogurt cream, forest fruit sauce, and granola.
