The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone took place on 15 August 1987. For the occasion, pastor and poet Imre Jakus wrote a poem.
Construction lasted until the summer of 1990, while the building of the parsonage had already begun in November 1988. The congregation house and parsonage, designed in harmony with the style of the church, were officially inaugurated on 27 June 1992. The consecration ceremony was conducted by Bishop Béla Harmati.
