Located directly on the shores of Lake Balaton in Balatonföldvár, the Helka Beer Garden (Helka Sörfőzde) is a relaxed, lakeside venue combining craft beer culture with a laid-back, social atmosphere.
Established in 2021, the beer garden is part of the Helka Brewery concept, which aims to supply the Balaton region with high-quality craft beers. The founders, with experience from renowned Hungarian breweries, created a core selection including a Bavarian-style wheat beer, a refreshing Kölsch and a distinctive IPA, complemented by seasonal and experimental brews . The venue serves not only as a bar and pub, but also as a cyclist-friendly rest stop along the Balaton cycling route. Visitors can enjoy a range of services tailored to active travellers, including secure bike storage, e-bike charging facilities and access to drinking water . With its unique location right by the lake, Helka offers a perfect setting for a refreshing break, a sunset drink or a casual meet-up.
