The Felemelő – Experience Lift in Inota offers a truly unique industrial adventure near Várpalota.
Suspended on the exterior of a protected cooling tower of the former Inota power plant, this one-of-a-kind lift ascends at a speed of approximately 9 metres per minute, reaching a height of around 60 metres. After just a few minutes, visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the abandoned industrial site—once a proud symbol of socialist industry, now reclaimed by nature. The experience is not only about the view: during the approximately 25-minute program, guests can also explore parts of the cooling tower and gain insight into its original function. The lift follows the tower’s distinctive curved structure, offering a rare perspective on this massive industrial monument.
