One of the most beautiful buildings in Balatonkeresztúr is the Baroque Festetics Castle. It bears the name of the famous writer and scholar because in the 1700s, Mátyás Bél spent a longer period here as a guest of the Festetics family. Our protected historic Baroque guesthouse is located in the central area of Balatonkeresztúr, in a quiet and peaceful holiday zone, surrounded by a large, well-maintained park.
The beautifully renovated building (2014) features seven modern-style guest rooms on the upper floor: six 4-bed rooms (with 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed) and one 2-bed room, providing accommodation for a total of 26 guests. The carpeted rooms are equipped with a colour television and a mini refrigerator, while the entrance area includes a built-in wardrobe with a coded safe. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower, washbasin, toilet, and towel dryer. In the upstairs lounge, a comfortable seating area, a homebox media player with a large projector screen, a 300-volume library, and free Wi-Fi ensure a pleasant stay. On the ground floor, the large hall hosts temporary exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and civil wedding ceremonies. A spectacular 1225-litre aquarium in the smaller hall displays fish native to Lake Balaton. Our rooms, equipped with sound technology, a projector, and several interactive boards, can meet even higher technical requirements. On the western side of the well-kept garden, a Finnish sauna house made of wooden logs, as well as a barbecue and cauldron cooking area and a shaded pergola, provide a relaxing environment. The sauna is available for an additional fee, subject to prior arrangement at the reception.
