Baricska Csárda

Baricska Csárda and Restaurant is set in a unique environment among vineyards in the heart of Balatonfüred, approximately 600 metres from the marina and the Tagore Promenade, right next to a still actively cultivated vineyard. From its terrace, covered with wild vines, guests can enjoy a magnificent view over Lake Balaton. Originally established in 1811, the csárda reopened in early summer 2019 with a renewed concept. While expanding its menu beyond traditional dishes and the excellent fish of Lake Balaton, it has remained faithful to its heritage and culinary traditions. The operators—who have already proven their expertise with the renowned Bistro Sparhelt in Balatonfüred—aim to make Baricska Csárda a true sanctuary of gastronomy, wine culture, and local traditions, showcasing the heritage and reputation of regional wineries and Hungarian cuisine. The restaurant is located in a central area of Balatonfüred, north of Route 71, accessible via the access road near the SHELL petrol station. Its location offers a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards, Lake Balaton, and the Tihany Peninsula. Baricska Csárda became a full member of the Stylish Countryside Restaurants (SVÉT) association in 2013, and in March 2014 it also played a founding role in establishing the Balaton Circle (Balatoni Kör), a collaboration of leading wineries and restaurants in the region.
